Generally, Sawnees service territory extends from the Chattahoochee River at GA 400 in the south, S.R. These seven counties are Forsyth, Fulton, Dawson, Lumpkin, Cherokee, Hall, & Gwinnett. Sawnee serves parts of seven (7) counties as outlined in the 1973 Territorial Act of Georgia. Our goal is to restore all power as soon as is safely possible but we do not have an estimate of time at this point. Sawnee EMC serves an ever-growing area of Northern Georgia. Crews have determined there are at least 10 broken poles in Pickens County and 11 in Gilmer we expect those numbers to increase.
